1625 Independent People

16-25 Year Olds

Our South Glos Mentoring Project at 1625ip works with both young men and women who are at risk of homelessness and/or care experienced, who have had multiple Adverse Childhood Experiences and/or are deemed at risk of (or already are) becoming linked to criminal activity and/or of being criminally exploited.

We are delighted to be partnering with the GMP to deliver an enhanced aspect of our core programme, bolstering our work with young women and girls, focussing in on their specific needs and sharing learning. We recruit mentors from a range of backgrounds, with lived and professional experience, who then act as a trusted adult to a young woman, aged 16-25, going through a difficult time. Mentors and mentees explore values, motivations and interests spending 1to1 time out in the community engaging in meaningful activities aimed at improving wellbeing and increasing confidence. Our aim is to empower, encourage and support individuals to thrive.

Agencies supporting other ages

GMP doesn’t currently include agencies supporting other age groups. But you may find one of these organisations useful.
